Comments: I worked this boat at Parker Brothers when it was Houston Barge Lines in the early 90's and she was named the Robin Rose. Had experimental Detroit v-6's. (DMD's?) She was my first boat. Glad to see she is still running and looks great. A lot of memories.

Comments: I was a deckhand on the Ann King in 1970. It was an amazing experience but somewhat dangerous. Capt. Albert (surname not recalled) captained several trips I made from St. Louis to St. Paul, he was one of the wisest persons I've known.
Comments: Great site. I am building a r/c scale model of Charlotte. Enlarged Towboat Joes drawings I bought from him years ago and now building in 1/2 inch = 1' scale

Comments: I just discovered this site and am totally impressed with the effort. I worked for Peavey Barge Line beginning in 1976 on the Tennessee. St. Louis Ship then built six boats for Peavey, the Frank H. Peavey, Mark T. Heffelfinger, Mary Morrison, Frederick B. Wells and two lower boats, the Paulina which later was renamed Floyd Goodman and the Altonian. While the Frederick B. Wells was my usual boat, I rode at least one trip on all of them. Floyd Goodman was port captain for Peavey and I remember him as a very good man. Seeing the pictures brings back many fond memories of people and experiences from the past. Thank you!
Comments: The Mark Eastin was the most powerful boat on the rivers in 1957 (5800 hp) My Dad was her 1st Mate when she went in service It was his most proud service on the rivers. It is great to see she is still proudly plying the rivers.
