Comments: I was pleased to see the photo of the MV Vicksburg, but sorry to see that it may be inactive. More than 40 years ago I rode the Vicksburg for several days down the Missouri River and then wrote an article about the experience in The Kansas City Star. It was a really really fun trip.

Comments: Enjoyed the pictures of the Twyla Luhr. My husband Capt. Earnest Gerald Caton was the pilot of the Twyla on her 1st run and later became captain.He was on the Twyla Luhr for a total of thirty yrs until Feb. 2012 when he lost his life to lung cancer. We will be using one of the pictures on your website to display on his headstone. Thank you so very much for your pictures my husband was very proud of his boat!

Comments: I had the pleasure of picking up the Davenport in East Liverpool after Union Boiler bought her from the bank after a repo. She had Cooper Besmers then and sounded sweet. We repowered her with 12V149's in the Mid 70's after the engines locked up going into the chamber at Gallipolis. Had rudders as big as barn doors. Beat the Claire Beatty in a shove off @ regatta.
